Latest news following fire at Hemswell bottle sorting plant
Following the fire of Tuesday 25 August 2009 we have reluctantly announced that, following a full review of the business, we have begun a process of proposed redundancies for operatives working at our sorting plant in Hemswell, Lincolnshire. Employees working within the undamaged portion of the plant and, elsewhere within the business, are unaffected.
It remains our intention to rebuild the sorting plant as quickly as possible and we would expect demoilition work to commence shortly. We anticipate that within 12 months the business will have recovered and we will continue to expand rapidly thereafter.
