To produce our r-PET pellet the hot washed PET flake is put into a Vacurema extruder. The flake is essentially cooked for 1.5 hours at 120 degrees to remove any potenial volatiles that could have been in contact with the plastic during its life. At this point the finished food grade approved pellet leaves our site to be used in new bottle production within UK and Europe.
